From the Eyes of My Youth. slide show (23) As the title indicates these photographs are meant to recall my early childhood experiences with nature and to sharpen the "Eye" I had as a young lad growing up in the North. In each photograph I have isolated certain features of the natural environment, often using a long lens, to create a greater sense of "intimacy" than you would experience with more expansive landscapes. For me this "intimate landscape" approach has a strong emotional appeal.
